Our History
JDFT was formed in 2014 when James Davis, its founder, lead translator and managing director, felt the need for a more formal basis from which to serve the clients for whom he and his team had translated since the early 2000s.

Major clients include Recordati S.p.A, parent of an Italian multinational pharmaceutical group, members of the Arrow Electronics Group, an American Fortune 500 company and the former UBI Banca. JDFT serves departments and offices of these clients, which include their investor relations, financial reporting, legal and corporate affairs, human resources, risk and non-financial reporting departments.
Until very recently UBI Banca SpA one of our most important clients was one of the five largest commercial banking groups in Italy. The high quality and competitiveness of its services and its reputation for reliability made UBI Banca a very attractive takeover target and Intesa Sanpaolo, now the largest bank in Italy and tenth largest in Europe, launched a successful takeover bid for UBI Banca in February 2020 and merged it in April 2021.
Our Future
With the merger of UBI Banca and the disappearance of a major client as a consequence, having turned down new clients for many years, JDFT is now accepting new custom.
